This is the website and blog of Game Of Now. We are a company that designs real world adventure games: not online games, computer, hand-held, console or mobile phone games, but high quality, original games with real people in the real, stub-your-toe-and-it-hurts physical world.
What is a real world adventure game?
Imagine a temporary world in which you meet and interact with real people who are playing characters within a story (thriller, drama, comedy, tragedy, romance, horror), written exclusively for the players. The characters do not follow a script but instead adapt and respond to you and what you say and do.
Your task is to work out what is going on and follow the story to its conclusion. Sometimes you will have to invent the ending. Sometimes you will have to race to the end. Sometimes you will have to follow clues, solve puzzles or riddles to continue your adventure and succeed in your quest.

We combine the arts of game design, storytelling, theatre, dance, visual arts, music and magic with modern digital technologies to create truly unique game experiences.
Open and closed games
We design two types of games: open and closed
Open
These games are open to anyone and everyone and are designed by our creative team. Game fees vary depending on the number of players, duration and complexity of the game, but they start at £5 for a simple game and can go up to several hundred for a weekend game.

Closed
These games are commissioned or sponsored by an individual, group, company or organisation and stories are shaped and adapted to achieve a specific objective:
- team-building
- training and development (e.g. real world sales environment or customer service / mystery shopper training)
- conferences, festival or event energisers
- city, town or museum tours
- murder mystery events
- treasure hunts
- children’s parties
- office parties
- birthday parties
- stag or hen weekends
Again, fees vary depending on the number of players, duration, objectives and complexity.

Game Of Now was founded by William Graham Stewart in January 2006. He has written, directed and produced games throughout Europe and the US.
He now collaborates with talented people from all walks of life, creating games to inspire, educate and entertain.
